Welcome to Lilydale Adventist Academy

Lilydale Adventist Academy was founded in 1964 primarily as a boarding facility for families in rural Australia. For over forty years the Academy has catered for both rural and suburban families seeking quality Christian education in a peaceful and nurturing environment.  Set on 43 acres overlooking Lilydale, the Academy has been developed into a serene, well appointed campus that must be seen to be appreciated.

As part of the Adventist School Australia system we will support and encourage the needs of your child, regardless of religious or cultural background, and we have an emphasis on caring for all aspects of their development and growth.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church operates 5,846 schools worldwide with a total enrolment of over 1 million students. Across Australia there are 53 Adventist schools catering for over 12,000 students, providing a network of resources to give your child an education of the highest quality in an ideal learning environment.

At the heart of Adventist education is a belief that children achieve true growth when their mental, physical and spiritual needs are met. Lilydale Adventist Academy upholds these beliefs and, with enviable teacher-to-student ratios, we provide a nurturing and caring learning environment where Christian values are upheld.

LAA Teacher Mr Croft selected as Teacher of the Year.

Each year at the Adventist Schools Victoria Annual Conference one teacher is selected from a list of nominations to be recognised for their outstanding contribution within theirschool and to the schools collectively.

This year the award was presented to Mr Michael Croft for his leadership in the Science Department here at LAA. The award includes a trophy and opportunities for further professional development.

Mr Croft has put many hours of work into developing the course material and power point presentations for Years 7-10 Science. He has provided many teachers around the state with access to this material free of charge and of course all students here at LAA have access to their coursework via the school intranet. Mr Croft has been proactively involved in the development of the intranet and its use by teachers and students. He has also mentored and assisted other teachers both here at LAA and in other schools. One of the other areas in which he has spent many hours is the Year 7&8 Horticulture project.

Congratulations to Mr Croft on his tireless efforts and the recognition of this award.
